Every year, the lives of thousands of Africans are ripped apart through illness and hardship, with many adults and children losing their lives to aids, poverty, poor housing and lack of sanitation and disease.
Education is the most important thing in helping the children of Kenya to get out of the poverty that they live in. CARA Projects is a scheme where Irish volunteers work alongside local builders to build orphanages and educational facilities in Kenya.
Through your help and support we can play some part in touching and rebuilding Africa and giving the people of Kenya a brighter future which they so greatly deserve.
Our mission is to build educational facilities and orphanages for young people in Kenya. We do this by bringing over volunteers from Ireland to work alongside local tradesmen, using local materials and resources.
Touching refers to keeping the common link with people. We want our volunteers to come and really feel a part of Africa.
Rebuilding refers to the building of establishments where Kenyan children can develop and grow and also to the building of hope and opportunities for these children and their communities.
